Does anyone think that Alexa's search engine will ever rival Yahoo or Google or do you think it will sink fast?

I don't think Alexa will be as big but they are doing a good job at hording a lot of web pages. I see that bot come by as much as some of the other search engine bots. We'll have to just see what Amazon plans on doing with all that information.

I never had a alexa bot crawl my site.

Is it only for the western websites ?? or is alexa crawling the asian ones too ??

I rank in top 100k sites on alexa i dont see their crawlers comming in.

Im not sure..but it SHOULD go to foreign/asian sites, its a universal thing like google. But its mainly popular with sites on the western area/USA.

Because here in india.. people dont think there is no other seach engine in existance other than google

Oh no, definetly NOT! Google is still the number one priority here..for some its Yahoo, but alexa is a minor search engine. People know about it, but it isnt really big.

Google is the original SEO worldwide. In the Philippines, Alexa and Yahoo are not that known of. People only know google although I am beginning to explore other SEOs as yahoo and alexa.

Did you hear that google has got his hands on a alogrithm thats going to change the history of search engines..

Also, they are planning to start Gbuy which is competition with ebay...

I think Gbuy products will be listed in google when its launched.

Yes, because it is a way of promoting their own products. they really have Gbuy and Yahoo has their Yahoo publishing network.
