Need Help with FTP

Now I need help!

I am signing in at freesitedesigner.com and they are asking me about FTP host details. Well, you know, I know what an FTP means, File Transfer Protocol, I have used it in my job but one thing I don't know is how to create this FTP host... does it need a web host? (I have to check with mine if it does.) Coz I thought, having an FTP software for free would also mean that I can create my own ftp host, etc.

Well, since I have already discovered the solution to my FTP problem, please disregard this post. I have learned to ask the login details of my FTP from my web host. It was the best I have done.
