There is a little benefit to running your site on a traffic exchange. You can raise Alexa ratings mildly. But you will not have much if any of a conversion rate.
UNLESS ..
Target the surfer genre - and use a good lead capture page. Must be simple, load fast and offer an incentive to get the email address. Then you can begin to introduce the lead to your offers.
Other then that - No. Using an exchange will not really help SEO of your website. And as someone stated earlier - automated submission is not the best choice.
The best way to get listed fast - is to find a google page rank 4 or above and get them to link to your site. (Considering they do not have a no-index rule on in their .htaccess settings.)
When they get crawled, the spider will follow the link to your web and index you. Your content, SEO practices with your code, and quality incoming links will place you from there.
