...the same ethernet share the same hardware/MAC address? I know MAC addresses are Unique.. but what if???
I know MAC addresses are unique... but what if??
-I know that it won't muddle with incoming messages, as the 3rd layer will reject the message if the IP address is different than the host's...
-But what will it do in terms of outgoing messages, in both 802.3 and 802.5=> CSMA/CD and Token Ring

You might run into errors with networking and such, but you may not.

It probably wouldn't cause any major problems with the actual computers, but your data may get muddled if you plan on using them both.
