Hey guys,
I just wanted to inform you guys about this great software called WEBCEO .
I think the sites url is webceo.com , its a great software and better yet, its free.
To delight you even better, the software has a inbuilt link building option which scans sites according to the keyword of your site and then you can mass email them to ask if they are up for a link exchange.
How cool is that :)

Yeah man.. It rocks.. especially the SEO thing...
I rank on top in yahoo and google for select keywords.
Can you get zapped for spamming using that particular software? Or does not one really mind?

Webceo is free software and its link building service is still in trial/beta phase. Also, the website submission feature will not work with search engines like Google and Yahoo as they detect the use of auto-submission software.
The best way for link building is to do it manually. One may use some software to find good keywords, websites with high PR etc.

Yes there is always the risk of getting zapped for spamming using bulk emailing softwares like webceo etc.

How good is it for finding sites with similar keywords, though, assuming you were going to contact them 'by hand' to ask for link exchanges? I spend about an hour a day hunting down websites that might be good to exchange links with...any software to cut down on that would be great, especially if it was free!
Would that work? Use the software to find the sites, but then contact them yourself?

I'm wondering how effective it really is...

I'm guessing the answer to that question probably depends in large part on what you want to use it for.
