Affiliate Marketing.. Starting Out?

Hey there -

I'm interested in going into the afilate marketing. Like Cj, clickbank and such. but 1st i need to make a website to be able to add links and products. Can someone please tell me how i can start out and give me a little directions on what i should do. i Signed up for clickbank, and i also heard of doubleclick.com. can someone help me out? Suggestions? Thanks!

You need a web domain name and facilities. You can get a free or cheap website with facilites for your clickbank id. Lots of good ebooks about which will explain set up. Basically need SEO for website or build a mailing list and promote your products

There is no need to have your own website, when promoting an Affiliate product. You can use PPC engine and send the traffic directly to the merchant website.

Hi,

having your own website is the way to go. It's cheap, gives you plenty of opportunities to develop your affiliate business and will gain credibility in search engines over time.

There are many ways to do this, I suggest to start with a mix of static homepage and blog.

1. Get your own domain name, do not use free hosting.
2. Reserver the index page of your domain for static content, e.g. a sales letter to get people to sign up for your newsletter (which you should build for your affiliate business). Having the static page also gives you the opportunity to change the content later depending on your business goals.
3. Create a sub directory and install a wordpress blog there. Post articles to your blog that promote affiliate products.

4. Join affiliate marketing forums, buy a few books and courses and always keep searching for new ideas.

Do not expect to make the big money from the start, it will take some time for you to figure out what works and what doesn't. All the books and courses are great to inspire action, but things often turn out different than promised in the courses, and thus they can not replace your own experience and expertise you will get over time.
