If you want to learn PHP, here's a few sites to get you started. The first one is PHP Freaks http://www.phpfreaks.com/ It's a nice site with some good articles to read. The next site is w3schools. It's one of the best sites to learn anything about HTML and web programming http://www.w3schools.com/php/default.asp

The official manual at PHP.net (http://www.php.net/manual/en/) is good, too. It's a reference tool, but it also works pretty well as a lesson book. Just start with III. Language Reference (http://www.php.net/manual/en/langref.php).

Thanks, w3schools is always great for just online tutorials in general like HTML, etc. But the problem is that its very lenghty, and people usually "quit" before they finish, but its worth it if you stick through it.

<sigh> I think I have to be very patient in my quest to learn about programming :) Thanks to all ... Wish me luck!

Yeah, you have to want to do it in order to finish it. Think of it this way. If you finish and learn how to make web pages you can make them for friends and family. They will think you got skills and maybe even get a job as a web designer. Just a thought though.

Thanks, Nogard, that was what I have been thinking. I can use my knowledge in many ways since I am working online most of the time.

There's nothing like turning a hobby into a moneymaking business. My ex-husband and I used to sell comic books by subscription because we were collectors, and turned it into a store which we sold.

PHP scares me. :P Just the explanations of what it is sound complicated...which of those sites is the simplest and easiest to understand?

I think w3schools is easy to understand.
