What's the story behind they services that claim to be able to submit your site to 75,000 engines for $9.95?

Is there really 75,000 engines on the internet? I doubt you will need that many. There's 3 main ones that everyone uses. Plus you can find a program that will do some for free.

Sounds like 75,000 engines is too good to be true! And, if it is, then, it might not be true?
