an upgrade from Photoshop 7.0? I've been very happy using 7.0 for years now, but I'm wondering if I should invest in the upgrade to CS? I'm a professional wedding and portrait photographer, so this is not a casual thing for me.
If you think it's worth the upgrade, tell me this: What's new in CS that 7.0 doesn't have that makes it worth it??

So, this whole CS -- which stands for Creative Suite -- has a main engineering thrust to integrate the Adobe packages. That is. if you wanted a 3D program, or Flash, connected to ongoing work in Photoshop so that everything updates seamlessly. The CS Photoshop has a few more filters and a WOW! file folder previewer, automatic masking. If you were into a lot of montage layering, maybe so. I can see the value with CS Photoshop and CS Adobe Premiere for video work.
This whole CS started with InDesign. I personally think InDesign and PageMaker are very lame dogs.
But, if you're like me. You haven't used every little feature in 7.0 yet. I may have to learn CS if I want a graphics job doing Photoshop. But right now, Photoshop coverts graphic files for me from video-based to web stuff. I don't need CS.
