CSS? Can I find a web developer job by only knowing html & css??

Not really. HTML and CSS are VERY good things to know but you need to know at least something like PHP and SQL (like MySQL, MSSQL, etc).
Today's web developer needs are changing as we shift into "web 2.0." Learning things like Ajax, PHP, Database languages, graphics design, and whatnot will put you into the demand curve.

Many of the sites that first came online in the early-mid 90's should be redesigned. Having the basics in HTML and CSS would be great start. Sites are being rewritten using pure CSS, to reduce load time. There's so much you can do with that language I don't see a reason to drop it!
