I think this question would be very important mostly depending on what you want to host. There are things that are illegal in certain countries and not in others.

So, if your website is hosted in a country where your material is not illegal then you won't have a problem with it, even if you live in a country where it is, as far as I know.

the best (fast & reliable) is run from Germany and hosted in Thailand.
