Photoshop question?

When copying a shape (circular) from pshop to illustrator I get a white box behind it, even though there is no background in the photoshop file. How do I get it wif no box behind it?

try saving it as a gif and then open it up in illustrator

Save as .gif format and check the transparent box then hit Ok. From Illustrator goto File > Place to import the gif file and uncheck the Link box to embed it in the Illustrator file.
