is Html easy to learn?

i judt got the book about html which is a web page desiner study but i am worried that it might be over my head and i was going to try to teach myself. Do you think thid is wise?

It is not that hard to learn, just keep at it and search out tutorials online. I am a self taught webmaster, I don't make my living by doing that but I do make money doing websites and hosting.

well, it isn't too hard, but HTML is just the basics, you will also need to lern cgi and css to add cool things like flash animation, music, videos etc. too your website. With Basic Html you can put color, pictures and some pretty cool things on a website

its not hard .. just start with some simple pages ... using headings ... lists and ... so that you have a basic idea .. .and then look at amateur pages on teh web .. use view source to see how they have done things. .... avoid commercial web pages becuase they will generally be over-engineered and difficult to follow until you have more experience.

you could also look to see what free htmnl editors there are on download.com these days ... 1stpage used to be quite nice for flipping between presentation and editing so easy to see what's going on.
