When playing a sound in a website how do

you hide Windows Media player? On my site I have music which plays when the page loads and this requires the user to download an active x control from Microsoft. Once the active X has been installed Windows Media Player is shown. How do I hide this as I dont want the user to see the player or control the sound? The sound file is only a few seconds long and does not repeat.

can you not embed a flash file - this will autoplay and you dont need to display the media player screen
