It depends, with dedicated hosting you will get your own server with additional connectivity option ?VPN , remote desktop ?.- and usually you will get a dedicated IP with it.

With dedicated IP, it is not necessary to have your own server, you could be sharing the server with multiple users.

Dedicated hosting can be done on only one server(which means one IP) ,they use virtual servers, i.e.. Different Domain Names on the same IP. eg http://abcd.com & http://xyz.com on same route to one IP 201.22.34.217.

Dedicated IP has one IP eg 201.22.34.217 dedicated to that particular domain only.
