Is it worth shopping around for Photoshop CS3 or does...

...it go for the same price everywhere? I am aware of the academic version discount, but will I be able to use the software if I buy it through someone else who is still in school? No registration issues? Thanks!

I have always found websites such as newegg.com to have cheaper hardware and software. But honestly I don't know. I would assume that some places will sell it for a few bucks cheaper...

It's the same price everywhere, though you'll probably save a few dollars (literally, three or four dollars) if you buy it on Amazon.com.

There are two ways to save a lot on it though:
? Buy one of the Creative Suite packages with Photoshop CS3 in it. You'll pay a little more than the standalone Photoshop box, but you'll get three or four more programs as well. It's a great package deal.

? The best way to save is to buy it through a teacher or student at someplace like http://www.campustech.com and buy the Educational version. It's exactly the same software at about half price or less.
