Sounds like you might have an illegal (pirated) copy. I am hoping that isn't the case. There are ways around it but you will have to do your own research on that.

First mention that if the software is purchased or illegal copy.

If you have bought original copy of it, you will get serial number and once you open the software it gets automatically registered to Adobe, Inc using your net connection and software is activated. If doesn't work, call customer service.

If you got thru any other process, then there is no way out to uninstall it.

If you have purchased Adobe Photoshop CS2, it should come with the serial number. From there, when you first install Photoshop, on screen, you are prompt to activate it. I do not have Photoshop running at the moment so I can only give you a brief steps from my memory. From the prompt, there are few options, one is to activate it online, the other is to activate it by phone. Either choice lies down to the following steps::Enter serial number (in the prompted box) > It will return you the activation code > Enter in the Activation code > If all goes well, your Photoshop is now activated.
