In photoshop, whya re only some of my filters

availiable whiole others are grayed out? I was doing a tutorial and realized come time to apply a certain filter it was grayed out liek i wasnt able to use it meanwhile ive had photoshop for quite some time and never and this problem before.. what can i do ?

Have you paid for the full program? If you are using the demo, you may not get to use all the filters. You should look in the help menu for the program, that should give you some ideas of what to do about it.

Is your file in grayscale, RGB or CMYK? Most filters are only available in RGB Mode.
