Just starting out in Affiliate Marketing, can...

...anyone give some beginners advice (not just links)? I have opened an account with ClickBank and I have downloaded the Affiliate Masters Course e-book as well as the SiteSell e-book. I am just looking for some helpful advice on how to get started and some tips on how to be successful with it.

I am not looking for any links on affiliate marketing--I've seen just about all of them. But if you have your own website or blog as an affiliate marketer, I would love to take a look at it to see first hand what it looks like.

I know that to be successful with this you have to put in a lot of time--this I have, I do not work or go to school, and I really want to be successful with this.

If anyone considers themself a mentor in this field, I would really appreciate your help!!!! Thanks.

Target the long tail - instead of credit cards, go after credit cards for people with bad credit. More targeted and gives better conversions.

Forget about click bank, the returns are horrible and you will make better money promoting cpa and offers from cj.com and linkshare.com.

Make sure your domains are keyword rich (helps with organic search engine placement and traffic). Also use only .com, .net. org domain names. All others look spammy.

Hello Kell,
I truly understand where you are coming from as a newby affiliate marketer. I've been there before but don't close your ears to everything that is offered just because it is a link. I know that you don't want to get scammed and that is truly understandable.

The thing is that if you are not careful you will get scammed just trying to learn. You say that you downloaded a couple of free ebooks and that's fine, a good start but where will you get your next tip from? And will it be a good tip? Everything that is free is not always the latest up to date info.

You need to be surrounded by like minded individuals that are after the same goals as you and willing to help you with all your questions that you will think of because there will be plenty believe me. You can get some good info at the warriors forum but even there if you ask a question that might seem like a dumb question to them they won't answer you. There is a place where I am a member of and believe me I to was lost until I found this place.

I had the same mentality as you and it was a costly venture until I lucked up on this place and I have been a member every since. You will need quite a bit of tools to be serious about affiliate marketing to track and perform split testing and so on, not to mention the many websites that you will have to build so there is quite a bit to it.

It doesn't have to be hard if you go to the right place. This link in my bio box has everything that you will need for success in affiliate marketing. Including the one on one mentoring that is free well with the monthly membership that is very cheap considering what youwill be getting.

Let's see free hosting, free website building tools, oodles of tools for tracking,finding keywords a forum filled with thousands of questions and answers, Clickbank tool for helping find the right products to sell so you won't be wasting your money trying to sell a dud etc etc...

Feel free to check out the link in my bio box before you start losing money and wind up getting frustrated and quitting. Find a place to get the basics before you take off running...
