I have heard that it is hard. Well, maybe it depends on the person, some persons can make this at an earlier time while others have to reach at 6 pm.

You mean is it hard to make one up, or to find one that hasn't been taken already? I used my initials and last name for my writer site, and I'm thinking of doing one for massage therapy with the name WeymouthMassage, since that's where I live. I have a couple of viable ideas for another site for my hot and steamy book, when it finally comes out, if the ideas haven't been snapped up by then. :)

it shouldn't be hard if you're using an original name - such as your own, unless your name is John Smith or something like that.

I suppose there can be a problem when you've come up with an idea that four thousand people ahead of you also thought up and so all the versions (.com, .info, .org et cetera) are gone.

I have read in a forum that your domain name must have your keywords on it... guess this would make it harder as most of the time, there will be more who will have the same keywords as yours...

I say to make your domain name relevant to you somehow, and then use it in your keywords, not the other way around.

My domain name is just my name, first, middle, and last, since that's what I use when I write, and I'm looking for 'brand recognition', as it were. :-) I have an unusual name, so it wasn't hard.

Even if your idea is one that a lot of other people have had before, there's almost always some new spin you can put on it. So I'd say no, with a little creativity, it's easy to get a domain name, even now.

I agree I think your domain name has to be unique to you and your business, something catchy helps as well, I have two websites and had no problems getting my domains at all.
